Be it remembered that on the twenty second day of October in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and Forty nine, personally came Wesley Stallings and Elizabeth Stallings, his wife (before me Jesse Rickman, Dept. Clerk of the District Court in and for said County) who is personally known to me to be the persons whose signatures appear on the within and foregoing Indenture, and acknowledged the same to be of their own free will and accord for the purposes therein named and the said Elizabeth Stallins being made acquainted with the contents, separate and apart from her husband, acknowledged the same to be of her own free will and accord and not through fear coertion or compultion of her husband or any person whomsoever.
