To all . . .  know that for diverse good cause and considerations but more especially for and in consideration of the importation of six persons to dwell within this our Colony land Dominion of Virginia whose names are Eliza AGAR, Christopher NEDROW, Peter HALL, Elizabeth DOWNING Jun., John McCRAY and Thomas MASSEY we have given, granted and confirmed and by these presents for us our heirs and successors do give grant and confirm unto James BAUGH Jun and Henry MAYES one certain tract or parcel of land containing two hundred and eighty three acres lying and being on the north side of second swamp in Prince George County and bounded as followeth, to wit   BEGINNING at a corner red Oak of Dan ll STURDIVANT & Isaac HALL Thence West twenty two & half degrees South eighty poles to a shrub white Oak;  Thence West six degrees South one hundred and forty eight poles to a pine; Thence West fourteen degrees North one hundred & twelve & half poles to a hiccory; Thence North one hundred and ten poles to a shrub white oak; Thence East ten & half degrees North fifty four poles to a pine; Thence East twelve & half degrees South seventy poles to a red oak; Thence East thirty seven degrees North forty two poles to a shrub Wt oak; Then East thirty one degrees North fifty seven & half poles to a red oak; Thence East fifteen degrees North fifty four & half poles to a pine; Thence South thirty three degrees East thirty seven & half poles to a hiccory; Thence East forty degrees South thirty seven & half poles to a shrub white Oak; Thence South thirteen degrees East ninety two poles to a black Oak;; Thence East Twenty three degrees and Half South twenty one poles to the Beginning,  With all . . .  the twenty fourth day of January one thousand seven hundred & seventeen in the fourth year of our Reign.
