Deed of William Mays of Cumberland Co Kentucky
 
This Indenture made this Twentifirst Day of February in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Ten between William Mays, Senr. And Molly his wife of the County of Cumberland and the State of Kentucky of the one part and William Mays, Junr. of said County and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that William Mayes Senr. and Molly his wife for the and in consideration of the sum of two hundred Dollars in hand paid by the said William Mays, Jr. the receipt whereof they do acknowledge and thereof acquaint and discharge the said William Mays Junr. his heirs, executors and administrators, by these presents, they the said William Mays, Senr. and Molly his wife have quaranteed bargained, sold, and delivered, innoffed and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain, sell and deliver innoff and confirm into the said William Mays, Junr. his heirs and assigns a certain tract piece  a parcel of parcel of land patented to William Mays assignee of Lawrence Smith containing One Hundred and Thirty acres be the same more or less being of a tract William Mays Junr. now lives bearing date the Seventh day September One thousand Eight Hundred Seven, lying and being in the County of Cumberland and State of Kentucky on the Waters of Marrowbone Creek a branch of Cumberland river and bounded as follows “To Witt” Bengining at a Sugar tree, Ash and a white Oak, thence North Forty one degrees West Two Hundred One poles to a bench thence West Forty Four poles to an Ash and Hickory thence South One Hundred Seventy Nine poles to a Sugar tree and bench North Twenty Four poles to the beginning. To have and to Hold the above granted, bargained premises with their and every of their appurenances unto the said Wm. Mays, Jr. his heirs and assigns and to the truly proper use and school of the said Wm. Mays, Jr. his heirs and assigns and forever and they the said William Mays, Senr. and Molly his wife for them selves their Executors, Administrators and Assigns and to and with every of them by their presents that the said granted premises and appurenances are freely and clearly exonerated of and from all other and former gift grants bargains sales leases mortgages powers and other incumbrances whatsoever and the said William Mays, Senr. And Molly his wife the said parcel of land containing One Hundred and Thirty acres be the same more or less against themselves their heirs and assigns the claims of all and every other person or persons whatsoever to him the said William Mays Jr. and his heirs and assigns by these presents shall and will warrant and forever defend in Witness whereof they the said William Mays Senr. And Molly his wife have hereunto set their hand and affixed their seal the day and year first above written.
