William Maze and Lydia Maze deed to William Vinyard for forty two acres of land registered
March 21st 1833
This indenture made this 4th day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty-four, between William Maze one of the children and heirs of William Maze deceased, and Lydia Maze widow of said William Maze descending of the one part, and William Vineyard of
the other part and all of the County of Jefferson and state of Tennessee witnesseth, that the said William Maze and Lydia Maze for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and sixty eight dollars to them in hand paid by hand to said William
Vinyard the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given, granted, bargarned, sold alied,
conveyed and confirmed unto the said William Vinyard his heirs and assigns forever, a certain
piece or parcel of land satuate lying and being in the said county of Jefferson, on the waters of Long Creek, the waters of Nolachucky River. Beginning in the old line of the track to of land granted by the state of North Carolina to William Maze deceased on the top of a ridge at a stake running thence with said old
line south forty decrees West twenty six poles to two black oaks, corner to send old line, thence south with said old line of eighty poles to a post oak, thence East twenty nine poles to a black oak corner to John McFarland and also corner to the land conveyed by William Maze
to Nero Campbell, thence with the line of that conveyance South eighty six degrees East thirty eight poles to a stake,
hickory and Posimmion, thence with said line North seventy degrees East twenty two poles to a stake, thence South sixty seven degrees East thirty two poles to a stake of Bucki in the branch, thence North eighteen degrees West sixteen poles to a stake each
holding the land to the branch the same as if the line had meandered the branch thence North sixty degrees West twenty four poles crossing the branch to a Posimmion on the point of a small ridge on the East side of the branch, thence North forty nine degrees West
eight poles crossing the branch to a Posimmion on the point of a small bridge on the West side of the branch, thence North forty two degrees West one hundred and six poles to the beginning containing forty two acres to the same more or less (it being a part of the land granted by North Carolina to the said William Maze
now deceased) To have and two hold the aforesaid land with all and singular the rights, profits,____ ______ and appurtenances of in and to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining to the only proper use and behoof of him the said William
Vinyard his heirs and assigns forever, and the said William Maze and Lydia Maze for themselves, their heirs, executors and administrators doth covenant and agree to and with the said William
Vinyard his heirs and assigns that the before recited land and bargarned premises they will warrant and forever defend, against the right with interest or claim of all and every person for persons whenever.

State of Tennessee Jefferson County March Sessions 1833. A deed of bargarned and sale from William Maze and Lydia Maze to William Vineyard for forty
two acres of land was duly proven in open court by James C. Staples and Benjamin Smith two of the subscribing witnesses to the same admitted to record and ordered to be registered.
