1931: Marion Co, OR: Know all men by these presents that I, J.D. Mayes of
Marion Co, Oregon, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, but mindful of
mortality, do make, publish and declare this my last Will and Testament. First,
I direct that all my just debts band funeral expenses be paid as soon as
practicable after my decease. Second, I give and bequeath unto my son, George
S. Mayes, the sum of One Hundred Dollars. Third, I give and bequeath unto my
daughter, Sallie M Fulton, the sum of Four Hundred Dollars. Fourth, All of the
rest and residue of my estate, both real and personal, of every kind, nature
and description, and wheresoever the same may be situated, I give, devise and
bequeath, in equal shares, unto my sons, James A. Mayes, and my daughters, Ida
Campbell and Sallie M Fulton. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the rest and residue of my
estate and property unto the said James A Mayes, Ida Campbell and Sallie M.
Fulton, their heirs and assigns forever, share and share alike.
Fifth,
I hereby nominate and appoint P C Fulton Executor of this, my last Will and
Testament, and request that he be permitted to serve as such without bonds.
Sixth. I hereby revoke all former wills by me at any time heretoafore made, and
declare this only, as for my last Will and Testament. IM WITNESS WHEREOF, I
have hereunto set my hand and seal this 26th day of February, 1931. Signed: J.
