I,Mary Mays of Botetourt County and
State of Virginia do hereby make this my last will and testament in manner and
form following,That is to say, First I give to my daughter Susanna Tate, all my
beds & bed clothes and all the furniture of my cupboard, and all my wearing
apparal, and also two diaper Table Cloths-Secondly I give to my daughter
Mary Cross, all my set of China Wear- And Thirdly and lastly I give to my son
James Mays my tea table and chest and do hereby appoint and constitute said
James Mays Executor of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all
other or former Wills by me heretofore made-In witness whereof I have
hereunto set my hand and seal this 14th day of September 1820.

At Botetourt May Court 1822
This Instrument of Writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Mary
Mayse and was exhibited in Court and proven by the oath of James Tate and James
Mayse Jr.- two of the witnesses thereunto subscribed and ordered to be
recorded-And on motion of the executor therein named Certificate is granted him
for obtaining a probat thereof in due form, he having first made oath and with
Security entered into bond conditioned according by Law
