In the name of God Amen, I William Maze Sen. of the cowpasture, County
of
Botetourt Virginia etc. being in a lowe state of health but of
perfect mind and
memory thanks be to God( given for his mercy and calling to
mind the mortality
of my body and knowing it is apointed for all men onest to dye,
do make and
apoint this to be my last will and testament, and first of all
I do recommend my
soule to almighty God that gave it and my body to the earth
from whence it came
to be buryed in a decent Christian manner at the discresion of
my Executors,
nothing doubting but at the last day I shall receive it again
by the almighty
power of God---And as touching my worldly Estate ware it hath
pleased God to
Bless me with in this life, I will and dispose of in the
way and manner
following. The first I do ordain constitute and apoint my two
Trusty sons Richard
and William Maze to be my whol and sole Executors. Next I do
will and bequeath
to my oldest Daughter Sarah M. Murray, one English Shilling and
likewise I will
and bequeath to my daughter Mary Scott one English Shilling and
as for my
land which I now live on I will and bequeath to the two
above Executors my
Efeccinate Sons Richard and William, to themselves and their
Heirs forever and to
be divided between them by the Division line which they have
already made
agreeable to both their minds, and as for my movable Estate or
Efects, after all my
Just debts and funeral charges first paid, I will and
bequeath to my Loveing
Wife Margaret, during her natril lifetime for her suport and at
her Decease
the whole of what may remain to go to my son William and no
gifts or Seziseys
to be made or given by my wife out of said efects to any
person whatsoever,
more than what may be for her Real use and Suport in Life etc.
And all other
will or wills heretofore by me made I do revoke disanull and
disalow of
Ratifying and Confirming this and no other to be my last Will
and testament. Given
under my hand and Seal this first Day of October in the year of
our Lord One
